Summer of 2021

2020 was not an easy year for anyone of us, especially summer because the lack of options due to the pandemic. Fortunately this year vaccinations are catching up with the virus resulting in the the covid situation slowing down. Although there are still plenty of restrictions, I think summer of 2021 can easily outmatch summer of 2020. My school ended on June 3, it has been almost a month into summer break and I am definitely gearing up for sophomore year 2 months away.

I signed up for a python coding course over the summer and so far it has been going great, (other than the fact that I have been crushed with piles of programs to run for homework). I am not looking forward to becoming a software engineer, but knowing a thing or two about programming won't hurt especially in this digital era. Besides, python is one of the easiest programming languages to learn and I highly recommend getting familiar with it.

Now that I am vaccinated, I am starting to meet up with more people (with precautions) and I feel great about it. About two weeks ago I met up with some friends at California's Great America and we had a great time there.

Evenings are probably my favorite time of the day because that is when I go biking and I really enjoy my own company. Almost every day of the week I bike to schools and hills nearby all by myself. I spend a good 30-45 minutes on my bike before heading back.

I am very happy summer this year is not like the one of 2020. I love being engaged in things I like such as learning programming and going for bike rides. If there are other topics you would like me to cover, let me know in the comments.
